Lorena Khateeb urges Israel to aid Syria’s Druze against Islamist violence, calling it both a moral obligation and strategic necessity

Israel has a moral obligation to help the Druze of Syria, according to Lorena Khateeb, a journalist from the Israeli Druze community.
She told ILTV that “now is the time for an action plan” and for Israel to “stand by” the Druze and “protect them.”
She said that protecting the Druze is also a strategic and security issue for Israel, which should not want extremist groups on its northern border.
